Q: How will my donation by used?
A: The bulk of the Foundation’s fundraising is used to hire additional teachers (salaries and benefits), to keep our classroom sizes small and to provide additional offerings of classes not funded by the county. Some of the money we raise during the school year, along with our funds in reserve, will primarily will go toward hiring teachers, including teachers for the following school year. In addition, capital improvements are done throughout the current calendar year for landscaping, teacher grants, and hosting events that serve students and teachers. Simply click on the Donate menu.
Q: Where will my name display on the Donor Wall if I donate during the Rising 9th Grade Campaign in the spring?
A: We will display the names of rising 9th grade spring donors in the right column of the next year’s Donor wall page so that you are recognized for your generous contribution. Therefore, if you donate in late spring on behalf of your rising 9th grader, your name will display on the current year’s Donor wall page, as well as the next year’s Donor page (under the rising 9th grade list). This will count as your donation for the upcoming school year in terms of perks. This is the ONLY circumstance where perks will come the following year (bows, magnets, coffee chat invitations).
Q: My child is a senior. Why should I donate?
A: Your student benefitted from our community donating to the Foundation starting from the time your student was in 8th grade. When your student began school as a freshman, Foundation monies were used from the previous year to provide your student with additional teaching staff. Your senior student also benefits from the landscaping, building improvements, and the activities hosted by the Foundation during their final year. (Plus for donors who donate $250+, your senior student will be recognized by a special Blue Bow with a senior addition when the Foundation Paints the Town Blue).
