SLC News-Freshman Applications Due Dec 15
Student Leadership Council (SLC) is accepting Freshman Applications for Spring 2024!!
The Student Leadership Council (SLC) is a club under the Foundation of Walton High School. We plan and host events that create lifelong memories for Walton’s students while fundraising for our school and community charities. In a typical year, SLC hosts the Homecoming Dance, Powder Puff, WEB pizza, Hoops for Hope and other fundraisers for CHOA and the school. We try to keep the membership to 60-70 students so that each student can have meaningful leadership experiences. We focus on leadership characteristics, as well marketing and fundraising skills. Our members are required to commit 15 hours per semester which includes our meetings. The deadline for applications for current FRESHMAN is December 15, 2023.
Your membership will be for the Spring 2024 semester with the option to continue in the 2024-2025 school year.
Thank you to our Donors!
During this season of gratitude, we thank our generous supporters of the Walton High School Foundation.
Our annual “Commit to the W” campaign starts earlier this year to better plan and allocate funds for important needs, primarily supporting teacher salaries for smaller class sizes and an enhanced educational experience.
Donors who give $250 or more on #GivingTuesday,
November 28th, will be invited to our
Coffee Chat with Mr. Tischler in December.
Your contributions shape students’ futures at
Walton High School, so please consider giving, no matter the size, to help sustain our legacy of excellence.
