Walton Homecoming 2022: A Trip Down Sunset Boulevard
With 1,400 students in attendance, Walton’s “A Trip Down Sunset Blvd” Homecoming dance can be deemed a success! All who attended looked incredible and embodied the spirit of the night. This Homecoming dance was the first dance hosted in the main gymnasium since the new building opened five years ago, which provided the necessary space for such an event. With such a beautiful clear night, the aerial search lights were enjoyed by those in attendance and seen throughout the community. From the outdoor 40 ft Hollywood sign and the indoor 25 ft photo wall, there were plenty of opportunities for great photos. We engaged House of Music Productions to help create an atmosphere worthy of a concert experience with state of the art visual and lighting effects. And a huge thanks to DJ Leo for keeping the students jamming and entertained all night long.
We are grateful for the support of administration, school police officers, staff, and custodians. A huge shout out to the custodians who turned around the gym in record time after a late afternoon volleyball game. We couldn’t have done it without you! The Walton community was amazing providing refreshments for all students in attendance and we’re so appreciative of the parents who took time to help chaperone the event.
The Student Leadership Council is honored to be able to put on such an event for the Walton students! We’re already looking forward to next year and how we can make it bigger and better!
